The Scoop on Poop - #25 By Susan Bashor-Reese
Well, it’s that time of the year again for my favorite annual activity... cart crashing! Yes, after a couple of hours of “cart crashing” at the Superstore, then it’s on to my second favorite seasonal activity... standing in line! Ho Ho Ho
And now, the imperative information you’ve all been waiting for. It’s my (new) annual recap on how Sweet Pea survived the year:
✓ Gallons of poop pumped: Over one million gallons! (Now that’s a lot of *&#$%*) ✓ Let’s talk rubber burned: 64 tires ✓ Oil changes? 42 ✓ Rolls of toilet paper dispensed: 12,672 ✓ Paper Towels? 5,616 rolls ✓ Counties served: 5
Whew, that makes me tired thinking back on it all. The highlights? Give me a break this is just poop, there are no highlights. Okay, okay it was kinda fun pumping water off the Osprey’s field (twice). And we enjoyed another fun company party afternoon at the ball park - such nice hosts.
Let’s move on to charity work. Ours most frequently consists of donations and discounts of portable restrooms (like from the very first call of the Spring through December) so here goes: Donations & Discounts... just to name a few! (hmmm should we go alphabetically or chronologically?):
Habitat for Humanity - both counties Ronald McDonald House Street Jam Shooting Star Therapeutic Riding Canyon Mountain Hideaway Playground R.C.N.H.O Corvallis Fire Department Missoula Humane Society Hamilton Animal Shelter Watson Children's Shelter Watershed Education Network Seeley Lake High School Prom Canyons Athletic Club Kids First Youth Homes - Double Dip Run Hamilton Performing Arts Missoula Chamber of Commerce St. Mary's Mission Missoula Figure Skating Club American Legion University of Montana Grizzly Athletics American Red Cross Darby School District Albertsons for Hieronymus Park Corvallis School - Arts Media Class Bitterroot Building Association - State Convention BBA Tour of Homes MBIA Tour of Homes Bitterroot Humane Association Montana Rockies Boy Scouts of America Army National Guard / Hurricane Relief C.S. Now that’s a lot community involvement (even if we don’t have time to actually attend any of the events) by anybody’s book. By supporting you, it’s our way of saying, “thanks for supporting us”. Do you think we made Santa’s “Nice” list? We hope so! Because we sure didn’t make the “Get Rich Quick” list. Twelve years and still pumpin....
Don’t forget, if this madness continues that we thaw pipes!
All of us at Sweet Pea wish you and yours a warm and happy holiday season and we look forward to hearing from you, (even if it’s not a pretty situation) because... Somebody’s Gotta Do It. Sweet Pea Sewer & Septic
